What is a normal fetal heart rate?

A normal fetal heart rate should be between 120-180 bpm but may vary.

How early can I hear the  Fetal Heartbeat?
Our medical grade dopplers are sensitive from 9-12 weeks gestation.

Do I need my doctors approval?

There is no prescription requirement to rent a fetal doppler in Canada. However, it is always a good idea to discuss the use of a fetal doppler with your healthcare provider.

Are Fetal Dopplers Safe for my baby?

To date there are no known negative effects on mother or fetus from use of a fetal doppler or ultrasound machine. As with any medical device it is a good idea to discuss the use of a fetal doppler with your healthcare provider.

We advise all of our customers to use this product in consultation with their physician, midwife, or health care provider. Instructions for proper use of the device are provided to all customers.
